Boarding and day care
At Golden B&B, your dog stays in a family home in St Julians, Newport. Only one visiting family’s dogs are accepted at a time, with at least one Golden Retriever in each booking. We aim to make each stay relaxed, personal and familiar.
Overnight dog boarding
Dogs are welcomed into the downstairs living spaces and secure garden. I want to understand their normal food, exercise, sleeping and care routines before their stay, and any medicines or special requirements.
A second dog from the same family can be another breed. All proposed guests need to be suitable for boarding in a shared household with my resident Cavachon, Bridget.

Day care
Day care is available by arrangement. Siân’s July 2026 information gives a usual drop-off window of 8am to 9am and collection between 5pm and 6pm. Exact times and availability will be agreed before booking.
Walks and exercise
Boarding normally includes two 30-minute on-lead walks or one hour-long on-lead walk each day, subject to weather, your dog’s needs and the arrival or collection time.
An optional visit to a secure dog field may be possible, depending on availability, the weather and your dog’s suitability. We’ll discuss any additional charge before confirming the booking.

A short initial enquiry is all that’s needed to get started. Detailed veterinary, emergency and care information will be collected privately as part of the formal booking process.
Enquire about boarding or day care
Tell me your preferred dates, how many dogs you have, their breeds and anything important about their care. We can then arrange a meet-and-greet to make sure Golden B&B is right for them.
